Also i can access the website just fine via web browser and my steam app on my phone seems to be working ok. It seems like all the stuff (inventory) is still there same goes for workshop uploads (if you have any), badges, awards, etc. i've tried retrying over and over for the past two weeks, and i still can't resolve the problem. there was an error communicating with the steam servers. I followed some of the network troubleshoot guide steam has and put all the TCP/UDP ports into my routers port forwarding, so the traffic isn't being blocked, the router i'm using has DD-WRT V3.0-r40559 std (08/06/19) firmware. Start in offline, then go to Steam -> Go online. The same problem is happening, when i'm trying to buy things from the store it says 'please wait, verifying login information' and then 5 seconds later it says 'error. Ive seen that steam has had this problem in the past and tried clearing my download cache and i've checked for updates and am running steam package version 1607372145 built dec 7 2020, steam API is v020.Įverything was working fine until i noticed this two days ago ish. Which is it tries to login, gets stuck, then responds with an error of "There was an error communicating with the Steam Servers. On the community tab it will act like im not signed in and when i try to sign in, it does the same thing as my profile tab does.
My steam client is having problems logging in but when it does, i cannot see the community or my profile tabs.
